First Look: Protech - Ubuntu Feisty Security Distro

A distro for security professionals!

Protech is a Ubuntu Feisty based Linux distribution made for security professionals and programmers: "Hopefully it will be a turnaround for those more familiarized with Ubuntu or Debian. Protech is based on Ubuntu and is to be released with many features that make it a true delight to use. Protech is made to be fast, simple and reliable. We are working on the final tweaks and hope you enjoy using it as much we enjoyed making it."

Protech team will release the first release candidate in a couple of days and the final (1.0) version is scheduled for release in April, along with the Ubuntu Feisty's final version.

After a quick look over some screenshots from Protech's website, I've decided to take this first beta release for a spin. The first impression it gave me was that it looks very professional; it looks wonderful (look at the screenshots at the end of the article) and has a lot of network/security related tools.
