Only a few days are left until the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show in Yokohama, Japan opens its doors and we get to see the latest cameras and lenses launched by all important players on the digital camera market.

So far we knew that Sony was going to introduce its latest camera models (A6000 mirrorless and a few compact cameras) on February 12, but besides the NEX-6/7 successor, nothing was known about the upcoming compact cameras.

Japanese website Digicameinfo has published the very first leaked photos of the upcoming Sony compacts. At a closer look, we can see that Sony is preparing to reveal a successor for its HX300 superzoom bridge camera that will probably be called HX400. It will pack the same 20.4MP sensor and, according to the leaked picture, it will have a 50x optical zoom lens just like its predecessor.

Another camera we can spot in these photos is the possible successor of the current HX50V, featuring a 30x optical zoom lens. Some of the images depict a device similar to the current camera model, so take the leak with a grain of salt until the official announcement is made.
