LG is entering this game, thanks to Cingular.
To be more exact, any event is suitable for launching a new mobile and this time it's about the 2005 season of "American Idol". Cingular, which is involved in sponsoring of this contest, has teamed up with LG to introduce LG F9100, the first handset from LG Mobile Phones designed to provide wireless users with

One unique feature of F9100 is a 5-way joystick intended to ease text and multimedia messaging, and also Web navigation.
In addition, when the keyboard is open, the F9100 screen image rotates 90 degrees for IM, Text Messaging, and Address Book functions.
The battery of F9100 is sufficient for four-and-a-half hours of talk time. The phone has also all the features one can expecte from such a device: 65K color screen, voice-activated dialing, polyphonic ringtones and sound, 255-contact address book, personal organizer and 24 MB memory for storing downloaded content.
But the model also has some limitations. Lacking connectivity and speakerphones, the F9100 is targeting teenagers and young people who will appreciate the phone for its messaging capabilities.
