Microsoft unveils the first Kinect TV commercials with the Kinect already well-known motto: “You are the controller”.

As Kinect will be launched in North America on November 4, the advertising campaign already started, and a brand new set of TV commercials have been released for promoting the webcam-style peripheral, neowin reports.

Microsoft wants to convince gamers that they have to try the controller-free experience, so it has launched three commercials, inspired from Wii ads, that promote Kinect Sports which is bundled in with Kinect, the kart racer Joy Ride and the pet game Kinectimals.

The Playstation Move has already been launched so all eyes are now on the new motion control camera of the Kinect for the XBox 360.

The idea behind the Kinect concept is to focus less on the games, and more on the people playing and enjoying them, and Microsoft has already stated that Kinect will focus on casual and family demographics.

The predictions for Kinect's success have already been made, and according to Kudo Tsunoda, the device should sell millions this year and surpass iPad sales, because of its deep gameplay that will appeal to a wide audience.

Kinect for the Xbox 360 will be available in stores starting November 4 in North America and November 10 in Europe at a price tag of $149.99 and £149.99.

On November 4, the Kinect launch in North America will also start ad campaigns from Chevrolet, Sprint and T-Mobile, through the Kinect game titles.

Kinect users will get a chance to test-drive Chevrolet cars in “Kinect Joy Ride” and unlock and download Chevrolet Cruze, Camaro and Corvette cars to drive in the game.

Gamers will also take part in events sponsored by the other two companies, and have a chance of winning interesting prizes.
