Meizu is still not making a lot of noise with their Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition and they have posted a single image from Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.

The fact that Meizu is preparing to ship its MX4 with Ubuntu is no longer a secret, but with the exception of a few pieces of information put together by the press and various sources, very few things have actually transpired. Now Meizu has posted an image on various social media channels, and come to think of it, this is the first official one (if we don't take the promotional ones in consideration).

They didn't share any kind of info with the image, but we have pretty much all you might be interested to know. Meizu MX4 (not the Pro version) has been out for some time and its hardware configuration is known.

We have been in touch with their PR, but so far they have been quiet, especially after the start of the MWC 2015 event. One of the things you want to know is whether it's going to be sold in the US. Some have reported that it's not going to the US, but our PR contact at Meizu said that it would be launch internationally. Make of it what you will.

Meizu MX4 is a premium smartphone

Even if it's already a few months old, you can't dismiss the phone as old. It's actually a very powerful device that has the MediaTek MT6595 SoC (system on chip) and it's an octa-core, meaning that it's a processor with eight cores. It features a quad-core 2.2 GHz Cortex A17 processor and a quad-core 1.7 GHz A7 processor, and the two are used in tandem or separately, depending on needs.

Also, Meizu MX4 has a 5.36-inch Sharp/JDI display (1920 x 1152 resolution), Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and a 20.7-megapixel back camera (2MP on the front one).

We'll share more details when they become available.
