Google has been going on about its Glass augmented reality eyewear for years, and the time has finally come for people to own one.
Sure, it's part of a contest, and it's really more of a test run than anything else, but a few lucky people will get one to call their own.
Everyone should have an idea of what this is all about though, so Google has published a demo video of how it feels to use the Glass.
Embedded above, the video shows the eyewear take a picture just by telling Glass to do so (“take a picture”).
It also includes an instance of the device translating speech into text and sending a message or notification.
Getting answers to questions is part of the feature set as well, as is getting directions to wherever you are trying to go.
