Razer, one of the biggest manufacturers of gaming peripherals out there, has announced its first gaming mouse developed for the Mac gamer, the Lunar White Razer DeathAdder. The ergonomic right-handed gaming mouse was "specifically built with the needs of Mac OS X gamers in mind," Razer says.

The official Razer report reveals
that Razer DeathAdder's renowned Razer 3G Infrared Sensor technology and engineering improvements make it ideal for Mac OS X gamers in need of a fully featured gaming mouse. The DeathAdder for Mac OS X features the 1800 DPI (dot per inch), Razer Precision 3G infrared sensor with 1000Hz Ultrapolling/1ms response and a tracking speed of up to 120 inches per second (IPS). In simpler words, accuracy, precision and tracking speed (especially for First Person Shooter gamers) at their peak.

Unreal Tournament, Halo and Quake III Arena are still among the favorite titles Mac users play, on their own, on the network or online. With this in mind, Razer "wanted to provide Mac gamers with a gaming mouse optimized for FPS genres. The Razer DeathAdder is one of the greatest gaming mice we have developed and we are pleased to offer Mac gamers with an alternative - a mouse known for its precision and speed," said Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff, president of Razer.

The Razer DeathAdder has five independent Hyperesponse buttons and On-the-Fly Sensitivity drivers. The latter allows players to change and adjust mouse sensitivity settings to their game environment instantly, without having to wreck their brains with endless settings menus.

The Razer DeathAdder also offers programmable features, while the sleek rubber coated matte black finish further enhances gripping traction while maintaining a dry surface. Last, but not least, a pulsating white Razer logo that illuminates the peripheral's elegant curves is also one of the note-worthy features.

Razer DeathAdder for the Mac costs $59.99 / €49.99 and will be available starting May 20, 2008 worldwide and at US Apple stores.
