The official version of Firefox 27 stable was officially released yesterday, so Mozilla can finally start work on the next build of the browser expected to be launched next month.

The first beta of Firefox 28 is now available for download on all platforms, so in case you’re trying to have a glimpse into the feature lineup of the next release, this is the version you need to download.

Keep in mind that this build has only today been pushed from the alpha development stage to beta, so it could be highly unstable. Needless to say, some crashes could still occur, so browsing performance could be more or less affected.

Overall, you should only download this early version of Firefox 28 if you don’t mind to determine the cause of some issues; otherwise, you should really stick to the stable build.
