The amount of sound power is enhanced greatly compared to USB 2.0

USB speakers were released in the past, but none of them ever had USB 3.0 support to brag about, so Gigabyte took that as its cue to make the first.

Called Gigabyte GP-S3000, they get one main perk from the SuperSpeed standard: more power, which translates into both more energy and strong sound output.

Thus, the amplifier size can be very large, unlike on other USB models.

Sadly, Gigabyte has chosen not to reveal most of the technical specifications, although it did mention the frequency response (150Hz – 20KHz), total RMS power (4.5 W / 5V at 0.9A) and the existence of a touch panel at the top (instead of control buttons).

Gigabyte will sell the GP-S3000 in black and white, but didn't say when it will happen or for how much money.
