The development team at EA Sports working on the Ultimate Fighting Championship franchise announces that it will deliver the first official piece of news on the game today, just as Microsoft is holding its big reveal event for the Xbox 720.

The image attached to this article was posted on the official Facebook page of the game and the team has refused to offer any details despite a lot of questions from fans.

The UFC license has been traditionally associated with the new bankrupt publisher THQ and Electronic Arts picked it up in 2012.

Development of the new game is being handled by the EA Canada studio, which has also created the Fight Night boxing franchise.

The company says that it expects to launch the first game in the series after April 2014.
