These bright red modules are cooled with an exclusive ATI special XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heat-spreader (displaying ATI's "Certified" logo). "By working closely with ATI we are able to deliver a superior solution to consumers and system builders with the introduction of OCZ CrossFire modules; this special memory is certified for optimal compatibility on the ATI CrossFire platform, and comes outfitted with our innovative XTC heat-spreaders which help keep the memory cool while powering through even the most demanding 3D games", declared Alex Mei, VP of Marketing.

The first certified memory product available will be PC2-5400 (667 Mhz DDR2), in 1024 MB modules and 2 GB (2x1024 MB) dual channel kits optimized for the latest DDR2 platforms. The timings are 4-4-4-12 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS). This is just the first of many new ATI certified modules that will be available to gamers and enthusiasts. In addition to ATI certified modules, the high performance OCZ GameXStream 600W and 700W power supplies are CrossFire certified. Other specifications: 1.9 Volts, 240 Pin DIMM, Unbuffered, 2.2 EVP (Extended Voltage Protection, allows PC2-5400 modules to handle voltages up 2.2V =/- 5%, and still be covered by the warranty).
