Shortly after Comic-Con New York release, teaser emerges online

That didn’t take long: just hours after word got out that Comic-Con 2012 New York was the scene of the premiere of the first-ever teaser for the upcoming “Carrie” remake, the video is out online.

Check it out in full below, embedded at the end of this blog.

It opens with an aerial view of the high school building engulfed in flames. As the camera zooms in, it becomes clear that the entire town is actually burning. Clearly, something really bad happened here.

At the same time, people speak about Carrie in voiceover, how she was “not a monster; just a child,” which is contradicted the very second the camera finds her (Chloe Moretz) in the middle of this wreckage.

She’s covered in blood and stares intently into the camera, to the point where you can almost feel chills going down the spine. If that’s not evil, I don’t know what is.

“Carrie” stars Moretz as the lead and Julianne Moore as her religious fanatic mother. It’s directed by Kimberley Peirce and will be out in the spring of 2013.
