Apple today is offering new versions of the Safari web browser for download and testing. As long as you’re a registered Apple developer, you can grab the new Safari 6.1.2 and Safari 7.0.2 immediately.

Registered Apple developers are told that Safari 6.1.2 for Lion requires OS X 10.7.5 with Security Update 2013-002, whereas Safari 6.1.2 for Mountain Lion requires OS X 10.8.5.

To download and test Safari 7.0.2 for OS X Mavericks, developers will need to install the new OS X 10.9.2 beta.

According to people who are familiar with both versions of the browser, Apple is asking testers to focus their skills on general website compatibility, accessibility, viewing PDFs, login AutoFill, password AutoFill, address AutoFill, credit card AutoFill (Mavericks only), printing and emailing web pages from Reader, dragging tabs between monitors, and extension Compatibility.
