Battlefield Hardline developer Visceral Games confirms that it has quite a few major priorities for the game's first patch, starting with fixes for Punkbuster PC and Nvidia DirectX errors, not to mention better Team Deathmatch spawns, extended Conquest time, and other tweaks.

Battlefield Hardline launched back in March and brought forth a pretty solid first-person shooter experience that included not just a relatively fun single-player story campaign but also some intense multiplayer modes that innovated through the cops vs. criminals conflict.

While the game performed quite well across all platforms, even on the PC, developer Visceral has already highlighted some of the issues it wants to fix with the first major update for the shooter.

Lots of things will be fixed by the first Hardline patch

Now, the studio brings back the Most Wanted list of features that was already employed by DICE with Battlefield 4 throughout 2014.

According to the official blog, among the key problems that should be remedied by the update are the heavy CPU usage spikes seen by PC users due to the Punkbuster anti-cheating program. A few workarounds already appeared from fans but such problems still persisted.

Also on the list of priorities are the DirectX errors experienced by PC users with Nvidia graphics cards. Visceral is also working with Nvidia to create some special settings with the next driver release.

Specific game modes are also getting changes, with the Team Deathmatch spawn system being set to receive some adjustments, while the Conquest timer will be extended by increasing the number of tickets in both Small and Large matches.

Many other weapon balance tweaks are also going to appear inside the upcoming patch, but so far Visceral is still delaying any news about a release date for the new Hardline patch.

The studio does confirm that the Rent-A-Server program is coming to all console platforms when the update does go live, so those owners of the game should look forward to this extra feature.
