Although HTC has recently confirmed it will push the long awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Desire S sometime in June/July, the smartphone has just received its first custom ROM featuring Google’s latest mobile platform.

Developed by XDA forum user mdeejay and the Virtuous Dev Team, the Android 4.0.4 custom ROM for HTC Desire S bring all the features of the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and then some more.

According to HTC Desire S owners who already flashed it, the custom ROM does not appear to have any issues and runs smoothly.

The ROM has been reportedly deodexed, zipaligned and pre-rooted. In addition, several additional features have been added and most of the HTC bloatware has been removed.
