The JetStream 24-Port Gigabit L2 managed switch with 4 combo SFP slots, or TL-SG3424 product name from TP-Link, is the latest addition to our firmware category.

Designed to help businesses manage components over a vast majority of network configurations, the TL-SG3424 switch delivers not only links between connected devices, but also Power over Ethernet (PoE).

The latest firmware package available now is V1_20120510 and has been developed to work with TL-SG3424 V1 hardware. This is a multicast feature performance improvement release, rather than a bug fixing one.

Strangely enough, TP-Link lists three firmware update packages on its official software download page, with release dates from 8/11/2011 to 5/10/2012, although the JetStream Gigabit L2 Managed PoE Switch was announced last week and bound to go on sale in June, 2012.

We are currently rolling out firmware and utilities for this device, and invite users to download and install but, at the same time, recommend to backup any data before applying a new firmware update.
