Sony Mobile appears set to release a new software update for the owners of Xperia Z devices in the not-too-distant future, and the company seems to have already received the necessary certification for it.

The new firmware was spotted at the PTCRB with build number 10.4.C.0.793 attached to it, and is said to be aimed at the Xperia Z C6606 and C6616 models.

According to XperiaBlog, chances are that the update is being prepared mainly for the owners of an Xperia Z smartphone on the network of wireless carrier T-Mobile, though another version of the handset might also receive it.

Recently, Sony has started to roll out software version 10.4.1.B.0.101 to this device, though the firmware wasn’t spotted on the certification website as of now. However, it seems that some users have already started receiving this build on their devices.
