ASUS has released a new firmware, version 10.4.15.1, targeted at its PadFone 2 device, after almost a month since the 10.4.12.24 version, which brought a large number of improvements, was unveiled.

Just like MeMO Pad Smart and PadFone Infinity, ASUS’ PadFone 2 and PadFone 2 Station now benefit from workarounds that improve the devices’ overall performance and stability.

When it comes to installing the software, ASUS feels the need to warn users that the update process isn’t capable of SKU (stock-keeping unit) conversions or downgrading version.

Moreover, a wrong SKU is able to cause an update failure, and therefore device malfunctions or even critical damages.

So in order to find your SKU, go to Settings → About PadFone → Build number, and the first two or three letters of the displayed text (namely those before the underscore line) represent your SKU.

So follow the link below, and from that list, pick the one that best describes your SKU.
