Yamaha has outed firmware version 1.61 developed for its CL digital mixing console series and the compatible R series I/O rack devices, which includes new features, improvements, and fixes that should enhance the devices’ performance.

To be clearer, the Yamaha products compatible with this release are the CL1, CL3, and CL5 mixers, as well as the Ro8-D, Ri8-D, Rio3224-D, Rio1608-D racks.

Through this firmware, the producer fixes problems with the CL series that may partially lose HA gain control of the R series, or could sometimes be interrupted for a couple of seconds, and the issue with the date and time that couldn’t be set using the Touch and Turn function.

Moreover, issues with the LED not lighting when pushing a user defined key, or with the StageMix (iPad application) responding slow when recalling a fade-time scene, are now resolved.

As for the improvements, Yamaha adds the ability to reconnect USB devices without restarting the CL series, enhances the SCENE RECALL’s HA response time, and adds workarounds for the noise problem spotted while adjusting the input gain from the CL series.

Furthermore, the CL series now recognize the Shure ULX-D Digital Wireless Systems and Yamaha XMV8280-D and XMV8140-D as Dante devices, and users can view the CL and R series status on the CL devices’ screen.

That being said, from the links below, choose the one that best describes your product series, and from the list, select the one that suites your device.
