Owners of a Sony Xperia J smartphone out there might soon get a taste of a new software update on their devices, as PTCRB has just certified such a firmware.

Featuring version 11.2.A.0.33, the new software was approved for the Xperia J St26i and St26a models, and might land on handsets with various bug fixes packed inside, a recent post on XperiaGuide reads.

The new firmware is still based on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, it seems, the same as the 11.2.A.0.31 iteration currently loaded on the smartphone is.

No specific details on when the new software release might arrive on devices has been provided, but chances are that it will be deployed in a matter of days, the same as it happened with other firmware updates before it. Stay tuned for more on this.
