Mozilla has just released another major update for its stable version of Firefox for Android devices. The new browser now embeds lots of the improvements added to various beta iterations of Firefox over the last couple of weeks.

For those who did not follow all the news on the Firefox beta update released in the last few weeks, here are the most important changes that should be part of the stable version as well:

[admark=1]- Updated about:home interface with Top Sites thumbnails, and ability to pin tabs to home page; - Password manager now supports script-generated password fields; - Performance improvements on some Nvidia devices; - CSP implementation now supports multiple policies, including the case of both an enforced and Report-Only policy, per the spec; - DEVELOPER: There is no longer a prompt when websites use appcache; - DEVELOPER: Support for the CSS image orientation property; - DEVELOPER: IndexedDB can now be used as an “optimistic” storage area so it doesn't require any prompts and data is stored in a pool with LRU eviction policy, in short temporary storage.

Aside from the new features mentioned above, the update is supposed to address some issues found in the previous version of Firefox. Here is the complete list of bug fixes delivered by Mozilla:

- FIXED: When displaying a standalone image, Firefox matches the EXIF orientation information contained within the JPEG image; - FIXED: Improved page load times due to no longer decoding images that aren't visible; - FIXED: In some cases, the clip set on the page doesn't update when the address bar hides; - FIXED: Invalid position:fixed rendering.

Keep in mind that some of the changes might have been skipped, while others that aren’t mentioned might have been included. We will update the news as soon as Mozilla comes out with an official changelog.

Until then, you can download Firefox for Android 26 for free via Softpedia. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.

[UPDATE]: Mozilla has just issued the official release notes for Firefox 26.0 for Android. Most of the changes confirmed has already been mentioned above but here is the full list.
