Mozilla has just released a new version of its Firefox browser for Android devices. This is a new iteration for the stable browser, not for the beta, so you might want to update as soon as it becomes available on Google Play.

According to the official changelog, the latest version of Firefox does not support Flash in Android 4.4 KitKat, so those who own such a device should keep that in mind before upgrading. Check out below some of the most important changes added via this update:

- New Home Screen: Instantly see your Top Sites, History, Bookmarks & Reading List in a swipeable menu; - Addition of Yahoo and Bing search engines in US and some EU locales; - Search provider management in settings menu; - [Developer] AMO discoverability; - [Developer] Add-ons can add content to the “promotional banner” tile; - [Developer] WebRTC platform support, continued; - [Fixed] Screen distorts on some devices after tapping on search suggestion.

You can now download Firefox for Android 26.0.1 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
