The Raspberry Pi mini PC has proven itself to be an amazing platform, supporting a lot of operating systems. Now it seems that Firefox OS will be joining the elite club of distribuions that will be available for Raspberry Pi.

Firefox OS
is an open-platform distribution built by Mozilla around the Linux kernel. Not many things are known about it, but what's sure is that it supports the ARM platform.

Oleg Romashin, a principal engineer at Nokia, is porting the Firefox OS to Raspberry Pi and it appears, from the above video, that he's doing a great job, with WebGL animations running at 60fps.

Raspberry Pi relies on an ARM processor with a clock speed of 700 MHz, 256 MB of RAM, an SD card slot and a 5V Micro USB connector that supplies the power. It also features RCA and HDMI ports.
