Interesting add-on for Mozilla's browser

If you have ever wanted to communicate with your friends online straight from a web-browser window, this is your chance to reach this goal. A new add-on for Mozilla Firefox was released a few days ago, allowing you to implement the

famous Meebo service straight into the browser. Basically, it is just a browser add-on but it gives you the chance to talk with your Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, Google Talk, ICQ or Jabber friends without leaving the browser's window. The extension creates a new sidebar which displays all the contacts, allowing you to open a chat window with only one click. Moreover, you can drag and drop links with them quickly and easily.

Obviously, the add-on can be used without charge and installed in a matter of seconds straight from the Firefox Add-ons page. Once you receive a message from your buddies, you receive a visual notification so it works pretty nice. The add-on has only 64 KB so no matter what Internet connection you use, it will be installed in no time.

Meebo is one of the most accessed web-based chatting technologies because it provides access for most of the instant messaging networks available at this time. As I said above, it enables you to login into your MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, Jabber and other network accounts using a single instance of your browser. Nothing to download, nothing to install, just your browser, no matter which application you use.

I bet this Firefox extension will become one of the most popular add-on for Mozilla's browser because there are a lot of users out there who would prefer to communicate with their friends while browsing the web.
