Firefox Home for iPhone is now available for download in the Apple App Store. In the beginning of this month, Mozilla announced that the iOS application was submitted for approval, and it seems that Apple already included it in the App Store. Users interested in downloading the application on their iPhone or iPod Touch can already do so, but it seems that they would have to have Firefox Sync installed on their desktops before being able to download an install this app.

“Firefox Home provides access to your Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and open tabs on your iPhone. Get up and go and have exactly what you are looking for on the Web on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Firefox Home uses your browser data, securely synced from Firefox on your desktop to the cloud, to let you search and browse quickly and efficiently. You can view the sites you want directly in Firefox Home, open them in Mobile Safari or share them with friends via email. Your Firefox data is private and only you have access to it,” Mozilla notes in a recent blog post.

Through the use of Firefox Home for iPhone, users would be able to get all the comforts of their web on their mobile phone, including history, open tabs, bookmarks, or the Awesome Bar. The app should prove a great options for many, especially when it comes to searching on their iPhone for sites they have visited earlier. Since typing on a mobile device is not as easy as on a desktop, one can easily understand the utility of Firefox Home. Not to mention that Mozilla took all the necessary measures to ensure that one's personal data is secure.

In order to have the new Firefox Home do its job on their handsets, users would have to install Firefox Sync, a free add-on for Firefox, on their computers, after which they would need to restart Firefox and create an account with a password and a secret phrase. Firefox Home for iPhone is available from Softpedia too, via this link. After it has been installed on the iPhone, users would have to enter the Firefox Sync account info, including username, password and Secret Phrase.
