A new flavor of Firefox Aurora for Android is now available for download, with a nice range of enhancements included into the mix, one of the most important of them being the new user interface aimed specifically at tablet PCs.

Mozilla has been hard at work with the release of this new flavor of their mobile browser, which is meant to make online navigation more intuitive than before.

The 'New User Experience for Tablets', as Mozilla likes to call it, brings a refreshed interface to both mobile phones running under Android, as well as for the tablet PCs based on this mobile OS.

Another important improvement in the new application release would be the faster start-up times. Thus, Firefox Aurora for Android will prove a great option on devices with slower file systems.

Some of the main changes that users will observe in this release include a new tab placement, complemented by a redesigned interface for the Awesome bar.

The release notes for the new Firefox Aurora for Android release include:

Tabs: - Tab placement is more intuitive for larger screens. Users have the option to swipe and hide tabs to use the full screen for unrestricted viewing. - In portrait mode, users can view tabs in a list on the top left and keep them out of the way until needed.

Refreshed Awesome Bar Interface : - Users can access Preferences, Add-ons, Downloads and other Android menu options easily from a new toolbar menu. - The back and bookmark buttons are also added in the Awesome Bar so users can access them easily. - The Awesome Bar has a refreshed design, which allows quick access so users can scroll through bookmarks, history, and synced desktop activity smoothly.

Other improvements have been added into the mix as well, including the availability of a larger number of language packages. At the moment, Firefox Aurora for Android has more than 30 languages for download.

Other changes in the new mobile application are aimed at developers, who will see the Camera UI integrated in the browser, and will also enjoy HTML5 form validation API, which should translate into simpler validation of certain types of input.
