Firefox Aurora 9 has been sitting on Mozilla’s FTP servers for a few days, but the company has now released the latest version for Android, Windows, Linux and Mac.

For the mobile platform Firefox Aurora 9 shows a new look that includes a refreshed Awesome Bar, which integrates the Back and Bookmark buttons and now comes with smoother navigation through bookmarks and history links.

As far as the desktop edition is concerned, it introduces Type Inference (automatic deduction of an expression type), a JavaScript engine optimization, which basically increases the browsing speed.

On the same note, the new Aurora can display website data as it arrives, thanks to support for chunking XHR requests.

Starting with this version, web developers can use JavaScript to learn if users opt-out of behavioral tracking or not.
