Firefox 27 beta 5 is now available for download for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X users, bringing a number of bug fixes and performance improvements over the previous betas.

The new release does not bring any major changes, but it’s still important for users already running the beta to update as soon as possible in order to benefit from the included bug fixes and optimizations that are part of the new build.

In the meantime, more eyes are on Firefox 28, a future version of the browser that’s expected to bring quite a lot of improvements, including a brand new Windows 8 flavor supposed to be used in the Modern UI.

Mozilla has already delayed the Windows 8 port several times, but the new version is now scheduled to go live in March as part of the broader Firefox 28 release.
