The latest beta comes with quite a few interesting features

Firefox 25 Beta for Android has landed bringing with it quite a few new features and improvements. These days, it's looking like the mobile browsers are getting more attention than the desktop ones. Of course, that's only a good thing for Android Firefox users.

The big feature in the latest beta is "guest browsing" which is exactly what it sounds like. It's now possible to open a new session in the mobile browser, to allow a friend to do a quick search or look for something without messing with your open tabs, logged in accounts and so on.

Most people don't tend to hand over their phones to others, but it happens more often than you'd think. In fact, the guest browsing mode may make you more willing to borrow your phone to a friend for a few moments. Of course, the problem changes on tablets which are regularly shared between family members.

Expanding the idea even further, the guest browsing mode makes even more sense on Firefox OS, where it could be a system level feature.

Mixed content blocking has made it to Android with the latest beta release as well. The feature blocks scripts served via plain text on HTTPS pages. This prevents a common vector for man-in-the-middle attacks. In practice, scripts on HTTPS pages originating on other domains or not and served via HTTP will simply not be loaded. Static resources, such as images or CSS files are still allowed and loaded.

Developers will be glad to hear that the latest Firefox 25 beta for Android now has remote debugging capabilities. What this means is that you'll be able to see how a site or app you're working on is going to look and function in the mobile Firefox straight from your computer via the standard Firefox developer tools. Chrome has been offering the same feature for more than a year now.
