It fixes a recently identified security vulnerability

It's been around two weeks since Mozilla launched Firefox 25 for Android devices, but it appears that the stable version of the browser needs a new iteration for security reasons.

Firefox 25.0.1 has just been pushed on Google Play Store, along with an official changelog attached to it which explains the reason this minor update was released before a major one.

It appears that Mozilla's engineers identified a security vulnerability onto the browser itself and had to patch it up before the issue could be exploited by hackers.

Aside from that, no other changes have been included in the update, but Firefox users can expect a major iteration within the next few weeks.

You can now download Firefox for Android 25.0.1 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
