The stable version for Firefox 15 has been available for a short while, but Mozilla just launched it officially. The release notes, as usual, are almost the same as those for the beta, with some slight modifications.

Preliminary native support for PDF did not make it to the stable release and remained in beta (Firefox 16.0 beta 1 is scheduled to be pushed to users on Thursday).

At the top of the notes there are silent, background updates, which should cause future updating to occur seamlessly, except when the update process encounters an incompatible add-on; this should trigger a dialog with options for the user.

The developer also lists a set of four unsolved, known issues, among which crashing of the browser if you try to launch it with a locked profile.

If the average user doesn't notice that the update procedure has been reduced to a mere alert when incompatible add-ons are encountered and that Firefox moves and feels faster in some cases (thanks to SPDY support and WebGL enhancements) and crashes less (due to memory usage optimization), then the answer is "no, Firefox 15 is no different."

10 mins of FF15 and i was facing serious downloading problem.. any softpedia download would get stuck in 20/27/30%.. never completing.

then the flash (updated from adobe website) began to starts to lagg
if it was more that 10 mins of video.. on youtube the whole browser would halt

seriously.. had to downgrade my FF15 to FF14.0.1 now its working properly.

have to use alternative methods of browsing to get my stuff. If you don't have a browser up date Mozilla.. don't launch it...
