Promises a faster browser and improved functionality

Firefox 13 is scheduled to land officially on Monday, but Mozilla has already uploaded what we may call a release candidate to their servers. This build is also most likely to be shipped on June 4.

The modifications include a better designed homepage that features access to important areas, such as download history, bookmarks, browsing history and browser settings. Page redesign has been extended to the new tab, which is now populated with thumbs for the most visited pages or the most frequently accessed ones.

With “Tab on demand” Firefox 13 reduces the startup time, as it no longer tries to load all the tabs of a session at once, but as soon as you access them.

The profile reset option has been announced only recently and it helps you bring Firefox to its default settings without losing your bookmarks, passwords, cookies and form data.

Additional features include better developer tools and default support for SPDY.
