Firefox 9 beta has just been released and Mozilla already started the work for version 11 of the browser.

Of course, it is a nightly build that has undergone no testing yet, but the bits are out there, as the code has been put together.

The set of features planned for this release includes integration of web apps to desktop, which is actually intended to be included in Firefox 10.

Also in progress is work for new looks. Mozilla scheduled a change for the in-content UI, for a consistent and unified visual appearance.

On the same note, they plan to create a home tab pinned in the far left of the tab strip, which will not take over the functions of the current Firefox button, but serve as the user’s home on the web.
