Official launch planned for later today, no release notes yet

Some of you may have noticed that the stable version of Firefox 10 is already available for download on Softpedia. As usual, Mozilla made the binaries available on their servers prior to the official launch, accompanied by the release notes for this version.

The highlights for this release revolve around add-ons, as starting Firefox 10 they will be compatible by default; an add-on will also be used by Mozilla to deliver hotfixes for the web browser (already tested), thus decreasing the number of full updates pushed to the users.

Also planned for this release is the elimination of the “forward” button (it pops up when you navigate back), full-screen APIs for videos and games, CSS3 3D-Transforms and an inspector tool for CSS and HTML.
