Mark Kern, the leader of the Red 5 Studio working on Firefall, says that this team is implementing a number of ideas in order to make sure that its coming MMO uses the entire game world rather than just zones linked to high-level content.

He tells MMORPG.com that the strategies are designed to make the universe more believable.

He says, “The goal is to have the whole world get richer and more entertaining over time, building and adding value to the whole system for all players at all levels.”

The developer adds, “If it works, it could open up a whole new type of MMO to players.”

Firefall is set to go into open beta on July 9, which will make the MMO experience available to all players interested in trying it out for free.
