The team developing Firebug has released the alpha version of the extension. As mentioned in our previous post, this release is compatible with nightly versions of Firefox.

However, besides this functionality, the new version of the web development tool also brings a set of nine changes to the table. The list contains both fixes and improvements.

One of the most important modifications in Firebug 1.10a1 is the possibility to delete a CSS rule with all its properties. Another CSS-related entry is dispatching even when a CSS property name changes.

The number of fixes also includes the option to add an AJAX response in a Firefox tab. Further mending touches on the user interface, which has been updated to remove “Show chrome sources.”

On the same note, in some cases unnecessary scroll arrows would appear in Firefox tab bar. This issue has also been fixed.

Check this page for the full changelog. Download Firebug from here.
