A search continues for survivors as only 100 people out of 350 escape from a burning plant

A deadly fire at a plant for processing chicken products in China has left over 100 workers dead and several others injured. A video of the aftermath of the fire has already made its way to YouTube.

The death toll of this accident has risen from 43, to 61 to 93 to now 112 as more and more bodies are found.

The plant is located in Mishazi township, Jilin province in northeast China. According to the Guardian, the Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry blaze started with an ammonia leak.

Roughly 100 employees managed to escape when the prefabricated building caught on fire.

Some reports state that the first flames have been spotted in the workers' locker room. 350 out of a staff of 1,200 workers were at the plant when it went ablaze. Rescuers are currently searching the ground for more survivors.
