Singer Fiona Apple has spent the night in jail after drugs (marijuana and hash) were discovered on her tour bus. She has been released on bail and, as per the latest report, willingly admitted the drugs were hers.

TMZ reports that Fiona’s bus tour was stopped at the border checkpoint for inspection in Sierra Blanca, TX.

Oddly enough, that’s the same place where other stars, like rapper Snoop Dogg, singer Willie Nelson and actor Armie Hammer, were busted on possession.

“The 35-year-old singer was arrested for possession and is currently being held at Hudspeth County Jail,” TMZ reported at the time of the arrest.

In another post, the same media outlet informs that the singer willingly admitted the drugs were hers when they were found on the tour bus.

Police used sniffing dogs to find the stash of hash and weed.

“Cops say Apple's 2004 tour bus entered the US Border Patrol Checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, TX around 8 PM on Sept. 19 and officers performed a ‘routine’ check of the vehicle,” the celebrity gossip e-zine reports.

The drugs were in a blue backpack in the bus.

“Cops say the backpack contained a glass container with .01 pounds of weed and .01 pounds of hash […] the weed is equivalent to the size of a baseball and the hash is equivalent to the size of a golf ball,” notes the same report.

Apple immediately came forward to admit the drugs were hers and was arrested on the spot.

She was taken to the police station and was booked. After spending the night in jail, she was released on a $10,000 (€7,689) bail.

Apple will have to be present in court at a later date to answer the charge of possession. She is yet to issue a statement on the recent arrest.
