Girls have always had an inner uncontrollable desire to look good and turn heads, and, for that, they used a wide variety of tricks to embellish themselves.

But now, those who want to look like stars walking on the red carpet have new options when it comes to makeup and manicure, as Japanese designers took cosmetics to the next level by creating some unusual beauty products featuring LED lights.

Lately, LEDs have been taking over the fashion world with extravagant trends such as hashtag dresses, Internet-connected LED T-shirts and LED jewelry that reacts to sounds. So it's no surprise that eyelashes and fingernails are next.

First of all, there is the LED Eyelash project which is specially designed for women who want larger and bigger eyes. Putting on makeup and wearing jewelry has always been a trick to make one's eyes look prettier, and women who are obsessed with big eyes can now see their dreams come true by wearing these incredible false eyelashes with incorporated LED lights that flicker when you move. They feature a sensor to turn on and off, which perceives the movements of the pupil in the eyes and eyelids.

Well, I understand Asian women's desire for larger eyes, but honestly, lightning like a disco ball is not exactly my type of beauty.

And secondly, there are the LED fingernail stickers which include tiny LED antennas that light up when detecting NFC signals nearby. They are called Lumi Deco Nail and come in a variety of color options. However, the set only includes one nail equipped with a LED light, while the rest are standard stickers.

As it turns out, an app to go with the nails will also be available soon to customize the LED light show.

So, if you want your hands or eyes to sparkle in a darkened club, you now know what to wear.
