The folks at The Dealmap, a service owned by Center'd Corporation that helps customers find and share local deals, have announced their very own iPhone app. Appropriately named The Dealmap app, the software is available for free download from Apple’s App Store.

Dealmap said its app is the first on the market to give people a full view of nearby local and daily deals. iPhone and iPod touch users can access more than 350,000 local deals throughout the U.S. and U.K, the company said.

Using the app’s filtering options, customers can find deals by business categories, or type of deal, and ultimately add and share them with others.

Users are able to see exactly where deals are relative to their own location, thanks to a unique map display view, Dealmap said.

“Consumers are keenly interested in local deals and coupons, and our new mobile app is the first to give them a comprehensive snapshot of nearby deals, as well as the ability to quickly add deals themselves," said Jennifer Dulski, co-founder and chief executive officer of Center'd.  "Our continued momentum signing distribution partners reflects the fact that we have the leading solution in the marketplace for publishers who want to present and monetize local deals."

According to the developers of the app, key features include:

- Access to more than 350,000 deals every day across the U.S. and U.K.

- Only app that aggregates local daily deals, with offers from nearly 100 daily deal sources.

- Map and list views of deals with filters for 10 business categories and 8 deal types.

- Ability for consumers and businesses to quickly add deals with photos that will be featured throughout The Dealmap network.

- Deal sharing functionality through Facebook, Twitter and email.

- A saving feature so people can view deals later.

- Opportunities to earn status and rewards, including points, badges and free gift certificates by adding and sharing deals.

The company also announced that it has struck several new distribution deals with the likes of Wcities, Topix, and Aloqa, adding them to its list of partners.

The Dealmap application requires iOS 3.1.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Use the link below to get to the app on the iTunes App Store.
