SitOrSquat has got to be the most useful free iPhone app ever developed, as it assists you in the worst times one can possibly imagine – when you simply HAVE to go! You can search for toilets based on your current location, or an address anywhere in the world. Simply pick a favorite (if you have time for that) and get directions.
“Have you ever had to go to the bathroom desperately and not known where the closest toilet is? Have you ever been on the road and needed to find a bathroom? Well in the past it was hit or miss... now there's a tool to get you to the bathroom that you so desperately need as quickly as is humanly possible,” says Jonathan Glanz, the developer of SitOrSquat.
According to the iTunes App Store description, this is not the first release of SitOrSquat for iPhone. The app has seen releases on other handheld devices, while the iPhone version is at 2.3. SitOrSquat is ad supported, but it's free to download and use on your iPhone and iPod touch starting right now. The app now offers pre-built "Saved Searches" such as "Changing Tables" and "Open Now."
SitOrSquat is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch and requires iPhone 2.0 Software Update. The latest iPhone firmware is 2.2.1. By connecting their devices to iTunes, iPhone users are showed a 246.4MB update that “improves the general stability of Safari” and “fixes an issue where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll.” For iPod touch users, the update does the two aforementioned additions, while delivering an extra fix, correcting an issue that caused some Apple Lossless (ALAC) to skip during playback.
According to Apple, iPhone Software 2.2.1 is compatible with the iPhone 3G and the first-generation iPhone, while OS 2.2.1 for the iPod touch is compatible with both models available (first and second-generation iPod touch).
