"There's no way to guide a creative mind" one might say. How can you harness the creativity and set it on the right track? Well, good ideas can generate better ideas so that is just one of the ways these books can help you.

The iBookstore has a new collection of "Guides for Creatives" - books below $3.99 (€2.98) for the hidden designer or writer in you. The first one is a book about the science behind great minds. "The Where, the Why and the How" was written by Matt Lamothe and released back in September of 2012. You will find 75 artists that illustrate the small or huge mysteries of Science.

"Freehand" is a book filled with sketching tips and tricks. There are over 200 innovative works of art that are set in such a way to demonstrate  all the fundamentals - line, tine, composition or texture.

The writers and designers will be fascinated by this next book. "Thinking with Type" by Ellen Lupton is a guide on typography and visual communication. The author tries to convey the message that this is not a book about fonts, but rather how to use them properly.

Graphic designers will find some interesting material to work with. "How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul" is just one of the books that have been teaching creatives how to get by their daily routines since 2012.

Make sure to check all these great books and pick your favorite for this weekend.
