As we reported yesterday, Microsoft announced the two lists with hardware requirements for Vista and detailed the specs for the Aero interface.

Moreover, the Redmond company added a special section on the Windows Vista site, which contains all the information needed by users.

The part about the Aero GUI requires special attention and we shall provide additional details about it.

In this way, a single monitor at less than 1,310,720 pixels requires 64 MB of video memory; for resolutions ranging between 1,310,720 and 2,304,000 pixels, 128MB are required, and for resolutions higher than 2,304,000 pixels, 256MB. Keep in mind that all these figures are for a single monitor.

Aside from the hardware requirements for Vista, the Redmond company also released the first beta for Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, which analyses the system and informs the users about the necessary upgrades for a superior experience.

Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor Beta 1 Release Build has been certified by Softpedia as being 100% CLEAN and is available for download here.
