Amy Winehouse has been lying low over the past week and ever since she returned from her holiday in Santa Lucia her health seemed to have taken a turn for the better. The troubled singer who turned 24 over the weekend made a triumphant return on stage at the Mercury Prize award in London and was also seen at her friend Kelly Osbourne's West End debut sporting a rather more groomed figure. However, Amy has not been looking entirely well in months - and the tell-tale signs that forecasted more trouble for her didn't lie.
First of all, this photo of her was snapped as she was emerging from a London cab holding a blood-spattered handkerchief and nursing one finger which appeared to be bleeding.
If this were anyone else except Amy, this could mean nothing, but the talented singer, notorious for her alcohol and drug-fuelled binges that nearly killed her on several occasions, has been known to run the streets covered in blood before. Unfortunately, it looks like she's back in her drug-indulging ways and even though her troublemaking husband was not chasing her down the street this time, she definitely has a tense, unhealthy air about her.
Also on her mind is the fact that hubby Blake risks doing some serious time in jail. He will be appearing in court next month accused of attacking a barman and in case he is convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent, he will be spending more than mere months behind bars. The attack took place at the Macbeth pub, in Hoxton, North London and the victim (James King, a worker at the pub) reportedly needed medical treatment after the fight in which Fielder-Civil was also involved.
Fielder-Civil will appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in East London. Apparently there was a previous court hearing in which he pleaded not guilty. The Daily Mail reports that if convicted he will face a prison sentence that can be anything up to a life term.
It's easy to understand that Amy is upset over this - and looks like she has let herself go again, wandering the streets covered in blood and looking extremely unhappy, not to mention unhealthy. Personally, I take this to be a really bad omen - and I honestly hope she gets a hold of herself and doesn't flip out completely - it would be a shame, after all, just when we were all hoping things were getting better.
