The seventh and last installment of the “Saw” franchise will be released in “eye-popping 3D,” as one of the official posters also says. Now, the “final” promo poster is out.

As fans must know, Jigsaw is one of the most prolific serial killers ever to grace the silver screen, especially since he’s been dead for quite some time.

Of course, that’s not stopping his legacy from continuing, as it will also happen in the seventh and last film, as We Are Movie Geeks informs.

The “final” poster shows Jigsaw in construction – in 3D, of course, since all the posters for this film have been released this way.

It is supposed to be the last poster ever to come out for “Saw,” thus the connection between the making of Jigsaw and the making of a franchise, the aforementioned e-zine says.

Aside from the symbolism, fans on dedicated forums also note the “awesomeness” of the poster, in anticipation of the October 29 release of the film.

“This October, one of the biggest, most successful horror franchises in movie history arrives in theaters in vivid, chilling 3-D with the release of Lionsgate’s SAW 3D,” goes a statement from Lionsgate, as cited by the same We Are Movie Geeks.

“As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror…” says the synopsis.

“The first theatrical feature to be shot exclusively on the cutting-edge SI-3D digital camera system, SAW 3D brings the horrifying games of Jigsaw to life like never before” – a promise is made to fans.

Starring Costas Mandylor, Cary Elwes, Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell and Sean Patrick Flannery, the film is directed by Kevin Greutert.

As we also informed you upon the release of the full official trailer, “Saw 3D” promises to end the franchise on a high note by aiming to be a very memorable farewell.
