14 DAY TRIAL // Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for its latest blockbuster, “Pacific Rim,” from critically acclaimed director Guillermo Del Toro. You can see it in full and in HD above.
Useless to say, the trailer is meant to prove critics saying that we don’t need another robot / alien movie wrong, by showing them that there’s more to the film than just an epic clash between two giants.
In other words, this new and final preview of the film focuses mostly on the human element of the clash between giants, and how they manage to bond with the robots (the Jaegers) to fight the huge monsters come to destroy Earth from the sea.
More importantly from where I stand, the new trailer shows new footage with the exquisite Idris Elba and Charlie Hunnam.
“Pacific Rim” also stars Ron Perlman, Charlie Day and Rinko Kikuchi, and will be out on July 12.
