14 DAY TRIAL // The release date for “Mockingjay Part 1” is nearly upon us, so Lionsgate has decided to release the final trailer for the next installment in the Hunger Games franchise. As it was to be expected, it's filled with intense moments that promise a lot of action and suspense as Katniss and President Snow come to blows.
The opening lines of the clip show Plutarch Heavensbee telling President Alma why Katniss is the perfect choice for a leader of the rebellion. Most of the rest of the clip shows the destruction of District 12, as President Snow gloats about his victory on the rebels.
Peeta makes his appearance in a video recording to Katniss, where he is seen warning her against the oncoming slaughter, as he is being dragged by soldiers from in front of the camera. “They're coming, Katniss. They're gonna kill everyone. You'll be dead by morning!” he can be heard shouting.
Snow adds his own message to the rebels, “Miss Everdeen. Prepare to pay the ultimate price,” to which Katniss defiantly replies, “I have a message for President Snow. If we burn, you burn with us!”
The movie is scheduled to be released on November 21, and in some places tickets have already gone up for sale.
