The development team at Square Enix working on the MMO Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn announces that players will be able to take part in a special All Saints’ Wake event that will be similar to the real-world Halloween.

All cities of the land of Eorzea will be decorated with lanterns and gamers will be able to use special costumes starting from Friday, October 18, to Friday, November 1.

The team adds, “A traveling circus troupe has made its way to the city-states, appearing overnight, as if by magic. Speak to these Shifty Thespians for a special Quest, but never forget that All Saints’ Wake is a time for tricks as well as treats.”

Gamers can also now use a free service to transfer the character to another world until Monday, October 21.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has more than one million players and has managed to solve many of the issues linked to the original release of the MMO.
