Square Enix is preparing to add some new features to its massively multiplayer online role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, in the upcoming patch 2.3, such as the ability to get hitched in-game and other exciting stuff.

The 14th edition of the Letter from the Producer Q&A series has starred the game's development staff talking about the MMORPG's future and answering various questions from the community. Luckily, Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has revealed some of the highlights of the event, for all the gaming world to see.

The next Primal has been revealed to the Old Man Ramuh, to be introduced in patch 2.3, with both hard and extreme mode fights available on release for veteran players to tackle. His drops will mainly consist of accessories, but his loot table also features some lvl 100 weapons, as well as a very rare mount for lucky players to collect.

In addition to this, developer Square Enix has also teased fans that collectors of all the Primal mounts will get a very nice surprise, a bit later on.

The developers have unveiled some of the artwork from the continuation of the 24-man raid instance The Crystal Tower, as well as offering fans a sneak peek at the next levels of the Coil.

Speaking of sneaking peeks, Naoki Yoshida, producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, has also shown the upcoming brides and grooms designs, for the first time.

The company intends to implement a marriage system in the world of Eorzea, with every couple having two rings and some artful thematic clothing to wear. If the rings are thrown away, it will result in the couple being divorced.

The devs are also looking into adding some two-person mounts, which will be really nice to use with the new marriage system.

While on the page of character customization and features, the company has also revealed that more glasses designs will become available, and that the characters will also be able to assume a few more poses, no longer being restricted to the rigid default sitting pose, for instance.

Lead Designer Takeo Suzuki has also mentioned that players might be able to dye their Artifact Armors sometime in the near future.

Square Enix has closed the presentation with the news that they will soon begin to sell Fantasia, items that allow players to remodel their in-game avatar, from voice to general appearance, and that they will come in various packs of one, three and five items.

For now, the revealed features have no set release date. The company has announced that Patch 2.8 will come out on June 4 or June 5, but they have refrained from offering a clear date for Patch 2.3, when all the new additions should go live.
