Square Enix has just opened up the registration process for the upcoming beta stage of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, allowing anyone interested in the new MMORPG to sign up and enter one of the planned beta stages this year.

Final Fantasy XIV wasn't as successful as Square Enix has hoped, so the company decided to overhaul it and produce a new version called A Realm Reborn.

While the updated online game was supposed to appear last year, it's been pushed back and beta testing should finally begin in the following months.

Now, Square Enix has set up a special website on which players can register their interest in A Realm Reborn and sign up for the upcoming beta tests.

Those who already played Final Fantasy XIV in its original state and meet the Legacy campaign requirements will automatically participate in the beta, so they shouldn't apply.

North American residents need to check out this page while Europeans need to visit this link.
